Elementary Education

Education for all and prevent child labour, the emphasis has been given to elementary education for all children in the working villages. The aim is to address the issue of out-of-school children and to improve the quality of education in the villages by strengthening the Parent Teacher Association and establishing linkages with the education machinery of the district and other stakeholders. It also aims to remove gender bias and to improve the status of the girl child in society so as to provide them with equal opportunities for their survival and development to her full potential. IDYWC especially focuses the children in the age group of 6-14 years. Regularizing schools, parents' visits, and meetings with block level functionaries have brought tremendous ... change in the quality and better functioning of education, particularly in the life of the girl child in the villages.

It also provides the children with opportunities and facilities to develop in a healthy manner in conditions of freedom and dignity by running ‘Remedial classes’ for the children of govt. primary schools.

It also celebrates National days of importance and organized events on special days and weeks such as Global Hand Wash Day, World Environment Day, Earth Day, Nutrition week, etc. organized awareness rallies by involving school children to promote and catalyzes education among children, create the process to embrace children into mainstream in a sustained manner, facilitate them to emerge as productive assets, and set the foundation for nation building.
